According to the Canadian immigration minister, Canada has now assisted over 140 Afghans as they made their way to Pakistan.

These who escaped the turmoil in Afghanistan will be relocating to Canada in the coming days or weeks. Most of the refugees traveling through Pakistan are those who aided the Canadian military in the 2000s. They are fearing retribution from the Taliban. Canada has offered to resettle 20,000 Afghans who are forced to leave the country for safety.
